England dominated day two of the fourth IND vs ENG test in Manchester.

The second day of the ongoing fourth test between England and India at Old Trafford in Manchester saw the hosts have a dominating day.

Resuming at the overnight score of 264/4, India didn’t have a great start as Ravindra Jadeja fell in the second over of the day for 20. However, after that, Shardul Thakur (41) and Washington Sundar (27) stitched a valuable 48-run stand for the seventh wicket before Thakur fell just ahead of lunch.

However, in what was a courageous move, Rishabh Pant (54) walked out with a fractured foot. He completed his fifty and took his team’s total past 350 runs. England were quick to wrap up the tail as India got all out for 358, with Ben Stokes taking a fifer.

In response, England had a dream start to their innings with openers in Zak Crawley (84) and Ben Duckett (94) giving a tough time to the Indian bowlers. They stitched 166 runs for the opening partnership before Ravindra Jadeja provided his team with the opening breakthrough.

Soon after that, Anshul Kamboj got his maiden wicket as he removed Duckett as both the England openers missed their centuries. After that, Ollie Pope (20*) and Joe Root (11*) batted brilliantly as England ended day two on a high, having scored 225/2 at stumps.
