Both India and England had their moments on the day two of the fifth IND vs ENG test at The Oval.

The Indian Cricket Team had a slight upper hand in the game on second day of the fifth test against the England Cricket Team at The Oval in London.

Resuming at the overnight score of 204/6, India had a torrid start to their innings as Karun Nair (57) was the first one to fall. However, after that England didn’t take much time to wrap up the tail as India got all out for 224 with Gus Atkinson taking a fifer.

England then had a sensational start to their second innings with openers Ben Duckett (43) and Zak Crawley (64) going great guns with the bat. They attacked the Indian bowlers right from the start, adding 92 runs for the opening partnership in just 77 balls.

After that Ollie Pope (22) and Joe Root (29) played decent hands but Indian bowlers, in particular Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, made a spectacular comeback, picking six wickets in the second session.

Although Harry Brook (53) hit a fifty, India were spot on their lines and lengths, bundling out England for 247 and allowing them just 23 runs.

India, in the second innings, didn’t have a great start as KL Rahul got out for seven runs. But Yashasvi Jaiswal (51*) at the other end played an aggressive brand of cricket, slamming a fifty in just 44 balls.

Sai Sudharsan, who walked at three, couldn’t score big as he was back in the hut for 11. At stumps on day two, India was 75 for two, leading by 52 runs.
