Day 4 of second IND vs ENG test will see India resuming their second innings from 64/1.

IND vs ENG: The second game of the five-match test series between the England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team is underway. The game is taking place at the Edgbaston in Birmingham and at the end of three days, it’s the visitors who are ahead in the match.

The third day of the ongoing second test between England and India saw the visitors having another great day at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Continuing with the overnight score of 77/3, England had a torrid start to the day.

Joe Root (22) and Ben Stokes got out on two consecutive balls, courtesy of Mohammed Siraj. The hosts were left reeling at 84/5, and it was then that Jamie Smith (184*) and Harry Brook (158) counter-attacked the Indian bowlers and brought their team back in the game.

They stitched 303 runs for the sixth wicket, and with the way they were batting, the visiting bowlers looked clueless. However, the introduction of a new ball changed the fortunes for India as Mohammed Siraj bagged a six-fer that saw England get all out for 407 as the visitors took a massive lead of 180 runs.

In the second innings, India had a great start as Yashasvi Jaiswal (28) and KL Rahul (27*) stitched 51 runs for the opening partnership.

After the left-hander got out, it was Karun Nair (7*) joined hands with Rahul as the duo remained unbeaten at stumps on day three with India adding 64/1 with a big lead of 244 runs.
