Day 3 of IND vs ENG test at the Lord’s saw India and England players sharing heated words in the last over.

India had a decent outing on day three of the ongoing third test against England at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. They batted well in the first two sessions but faced a lower-order collapse in the last session. With the way things unfolded on day three, it promises to be an enthralling clash.

The start of day three went in India’s favour as overnight batters KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant batted brilliantly. The duo added 141 runs for the fourth wicket as they hardly put a foot wrong in the first session.

However, just at the stroke of lunch, Pant got run out. Rahul got out immediately after slamming his ton following lunch. But after that, Ravindra Jadeja (72) struck a brilliant fifty, his third consecutive of the series. Nitish Kumar Reddy (30) played a great supporting role as he added 72 runs with Jadeja.

Washington Sundar (23) played a decent hand as well. However, England made a solid comeback and picked wickets in a flash, ending India’s innings on 387 with first innings scores getting levelled.

In England’s second innings, a massive drama unfolded. The hosts were supposed to bat around three overs. However, the antics by Zak Crawley ensured that they got to face just one over.

This irked the Indian side as players of both teams got involved in a heated argument, and this sets up things for day four. At stumps on day three, England were 2/0 with a lead of two runs in the second innings.
