India had a solid outing with the bat on day three of the fifth IND vs ENG test at The Oval.

The Indian Cricket Team had a sensational outing on day three of the ongoing fifth test against the England Cricket Team at The Oval in London. They dominated the day with the bat and then ensured that they ended it on a high with the ball.

India had a great start with the bat as overnight batters in Yashasvi Jaiswal (118) and night watchman Akash Deep (66) put England under massive pressure. Akash, in particular, was after the bowlers and slammed his maiden test fifty.

He added 107 runs for the third wicket with Jaiswal, who went on to hit his second century of the series. Skipper Shubman Gill and Karun Nair had a poor outing, but the lower-order came up with great contributions.

Ravindra Jadeja (53) and Washington Sundar (53) slammed fifties while, Dhruv Jurel (34) played a crucial knock too as India posted 396, setting a target of 374 runs.

In the chase, England had a solid start as openers Ben Duckett (34*) and Zak Crawley continued their good form, adding 50 runs for the opening partnership. However, in the last over, Mohammed Siraj removed Crawley for 14 to end the day on a high for India as England ended with 50/1.
