The IND vs ENG first test will go to the fifth day with all three results possible.
The first game of the five-match test series between the England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team is heading towards an exciting finish. The game will be decided on the final day at Headingley in Leeds, with all three results possible.
The fourth day of the first England vs India test belonged to the Shubman Gill-led side as they batted well for a major part of the day. They didn’t have a great start to the day as skipper Gill got out early after they resumed at 90 for two.
However, after that, KL Rahul (137) and vice-captain Rishabh Pant (118) batted incredibly well in tough conditions. They put in the hard yards early on and then both of them registered magnificent centuries, adding 195 runs for the fourth wicket to set the platform.
Karun Nair (20) and Ravindra Jadeja (25*) made valuable contributions as India went past 360 runs, getting all out for 364 and setting a target of 371 runs for the hosts.
In the chase, England openers Zak Crawley (12*) and Ben Duckett (9*) negotiated the tricky phase and made sure that their team didn’t lose any wickets on day four. At stumps on day four, England were 21 for no loss.
