India need 135 runs, while England need six wickets to win the third IND vs ENG test at the Lord’s.

The fourth day of the ongoing third test between England and India at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London saw another fascinating day of cricket. Both teams have an equal chance to win, and things are perfectly set up for the last day.

India had a solid start with the ball on day four. Mohammed Siraj provided his team with the early breakthrough after England resumed at 2/0. Ben Duckett (12)  was the first wicket to fall, and after that, Siraj sent Ollie Pope (4) packing as well.

With England under pressure, Nitish Kumar Reddy removed Zak Crawley (22) for the second time in the game as the hosts were left at 50/3. Harry Brook (23) looked to play attacking cricket but failed to carry on after a start.

Joe Root (40) and Ben Stokes (33) tried to bail the team out of trouble, adding 67 runs for the fifth wicket. But both the batters were removed by Washington Sundar, who went on to take a four-wicket haul. India then wrapped up the tail quickly as England got all out for 192, setting India a target of 193 runs.

In the chase, India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal for a seven-ball duck. Karun Nair (14) tried to hold the one end but Brydon Carse had his tail up as he removed him along with Shubman Gill (6), leaving India at 53/3.

KL Rahul (33*) kept grinding hard at the other end and played a solid innings. Akash Deep came out as a night watchman but his stay didn’t last long as he got out in the last over. At stumps, India were 58/4, needing 135 runs more to win.
