India and England will play the final test of the series at HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala.

Team India are comfortable in the ongoing five-match test series against England. India have won the series and taken a 3-1 lead. The hosts have bounced back after being defeated in the first test at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The fifth test is scheduled to be played at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The conditions in Dharamshala will allow England an opportunity in the final test match.

England will be looking to avoid an embarrassing 4-1 scoreline and would aim to get their second win in the series, considering the weather and pitch conditions. Dharamshala’s weather has been on the wet side in the last few days. This will play a huge role in the conditions for the final test. The upcoming two days will be crucial for the test match. As reported by The Indian Express, the Dharamshala curator is likely to prepare the pitch after consulting the Indian team management.

Rahul and Rohit to have discussion on pitch

Indian Express reported that the Dharamshala pitch curator is set to have a long chat with Indian head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma. The discussion will be held to determine the nature of the surface. Due to the wet weather the wicket is likely to have a bit of grass on it as well. The Indian team management might ask to trim the green patches and they are likely to prefer a dry wicket like the previous four games.

Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma arrived in Dharamshala on Tuesday, they will attend an event in Bilaspur and then have a chat with the Dharamshala curator. Dharamshala witnessed rain at regular intervals causing ground preparation delays. Monday was a bit brighter as there were less showers than expected. The weather is likely to be on the cooler side up in the hills.

Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah will make a comeback in the playing-XI. Bumrah was left out of the playing XI for the fourth test match played at JSCA Cricket Stadium in Ranchi.
