England announced playing XI for the upcoming crucial fourth test match against India in Ranchi.

Ben Stokes-led England have announced their playing XI for the crucial fourth test match against India in Ranchi. The fourth test will start on February 22 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. The English side have made two big changes to their playing XI. English pacer Ollie Robinson and off-spinner Shoaib Bashir are set to return to the playing XI.

The Three Lions have left out speedster Mark Wood from the lineup, replacing him with Ollie Robinson, who has yet to play a match in the series so far. Meanwhile, veteran pacer James Anderson has retained his spot in the playing XI, despite bowling long spells in the last two games.

Left-arm spinner Tom Hartley will continue to lead the spin bowling attack, while off-spinner Shoaib Bashir has replaced leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, who had a tough outing in the Rajkot test. The rest of the English lineup remains the same.

Meanwhile, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is on the verge of creating more history. The left-handed batter will eye the historic milestone of legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, who smashed 700 or more runs in a bilateral test series twice in his career.

With two test matches remaining in the ongoing test series against England, Jaiswal will surely aim to become the second Indian batter after Sunil Gavaskar to achieve this iconic feat in test cricket.

After losing the last two tests in Vizag and Rajkot, Ben Stokes-led England are trailing 2-1 in the five-match test series.
