Ben Stokes dropped his bat in despair after Jasprit Bumrah rattled his stumps.

Ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has delivered a magical spell for the Indian cricket team in the Visakhapatnam test against England. High-quality pace bowling from Bumrah has led India to take control of the second test at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Vishakapatnam. Bumrah left England batters in despair after delivering two jaw-dropping deliveries to Ollie Pope and skipper Ben Stokes.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up his 10th five-wicket haul in tests in the first innings of the ongoing second test against England. This is Bumrah’s second five-wicket haul in the last three test matches. He picked up six wickets against South Africa at Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town last month. Bumrah’s spell has left the English side in trouble after he dismissed skipper Ben Stokes with a peach of a delivery.

Bumrah leaves Stokes in despair

In the 50th over of the England innings, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a full-length delivery which left the English skipper in the middle of confusion. The ball couldn’t rise as much as Stokes would have thought. The ball beat the edge and went straight into crashing his off and middle stumps. Stokes looked in despair and left his bat on the ground.

Ben Stokes’ gesture made the wicket look more impressive. Stokes (47) dropped his bat and gestured ‘What could I do about this?’ with a two-second stay at the crease thinking about what just happened. Similarly, Bumrah delivered a magical yorker to dismiss right-hand batter Ollie Pope earlier in the innings. Pope scored 196 in the first test in Hyderabad to take England out of trouble.

England skipper Ben Stokes scored 47 runs in 54 balls during his stay at the crease. Indian bowlers picked up six wickets in the final session to bowl out England for 253. England had a decent start with the top-order batters scoring nicely, but Kuldeep Yadav and Bumrah completely rattled the English middle order. Opener Zack Crawley (76) was the top-scorer for the English side in the first innings.
