The first match of the IND vs ENG 2025 T20I series will be played on January 22.
The England cricket team are currently on a tour of India for eight white-ball matches. The five-match T20I series will begin on January 22, and it will be followed by a three-ODI series.
India received a major boost with the return of Mohammed Shami, who is set to make his international comeback after over a year. Shami had been sidelined from international cricket since November 2023 due to an ankle injury and then knee issues.
India have been one of the most dominant teams in T20 cricket over the past year. The Men in Blue won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and secured 24 victories out of 26 matches in the shortest format in 2024.
Following the retirements of star players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India have given opportunities to new batting talents like Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma. In the bowling department, in the absence of Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh has emerged as the team’s leading fast bowler, currently ranked second on the all-time highest wicket-takers list for India in T20Is.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has shared his predictions for the highly anticipated IND vs ENG T20I series.
