IND vs ENG 2025: Most runs, most wickets after 1st ODI, Nagpur

India won the IND vs ENG 1st ODI in Nagpur by four wickets.
On Thursday, the Indian cricket team cruised to a four-wicket victory over England in the first ODI in Nagpur to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
After opting to bat, England made a strong start with Phil Salt and Ben Duckett putting up 75 runs for the opening partnership. However, they lost momentum and collapsed from 75/0 to 77/3.
India kept taking regular wickets and restricted England to 248 runs in the first innings. Jos Buttler (52) and Jacob Bethell (51) scored valuable half-centuries for England, while Ravindra Jadeja and debutant Harshit Rana both took three wickets.
India didn’t start well in the run-chase, losing openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma in the first six overs, stumbling to 19/2. However, then, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill put on a 94-run partnership for the third wicket to bring the chase under control.
Gill top-scored for India with 87 runs, while Axar Patel (52) and Shreyas Iyer (59) hit half-centuries to help the hosts secure a four-wicket win.
IND vs ENG: Most runs
Thanks to his excellent half-century, Shubman Gill leads the runs chart for the series with 87 runs. Following Gill with 59 runs is Shreyas Iyer.
England captain Jos Buttler and Axar Patel are at the third and fourth spots with 52 runs each. Jacob Bethell completes the top five with 51 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja and Harshit Rana both took three wickets each; Jadeja is placed first due to a better bowling average. Saqib Mahmood and Adil Rashid are on the third and fourth spots with two wickets each. Jacob Bethell completes the list with one wicket.
