IND vs ENG 2025: Most runs, most wickets after 2nd ODI, Cuttack

India won the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI in Cuttack by four wickets.

On Sunday, India defeated England by four wickets in the second ODI in Cuttack, taking a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, England made a strong start with Phil Salt and Ben Duckett putting up 81 runs for the opening partnership. The English openers got good starts but couldn’t convert them into big scores and threw away their wickets with reckless shots.

Ravindra Jadeja starred again for India, taking 3/35 in his 10-over spell. Debutant Varun Chakravarthy impressed by claiming his first ODI wicket, dismissing Salt for 26. Joe Root was England’s top-scorer with 69 off 72 balls, helping them post a total of 304.

In the chase, India got off to a strong start with Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma putting on a 136-run opening stand. The highlight of the innings was Rohit Sharma’s return to form, as the Indian captain scored his 32nd ODI century, making 119 off 90 balls.

Rohit was well supported by Shubman Gill (60) and Shreyas Iyer (44) who both contributed with useful knocks before Axar Patel scored 41* to guide the hosts to a comfortable four-wicket win.

IND vs ENG: Most runs

Thanks to his fifties in both ODIs, Shubman Gill leads the runs chart for the series with 147 runs. Rohit Sharma has jumped to the second spot with 121 runs in the series.

Shreyas Iyer’s consistent performances place him third on the list with 103 runs in the series. Ben Duckett and Axar Patel complete this list with 97 and 93 runs, respectively.
