Ravi Ashwin has shared his thoughts on Englandâs batting in the third IND vs ENG T20I in Rajkot.
India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first in the third game of the five-match IND vs ENG T20I series in Rajkot on January 28, Tuesday.
Unlike the previous two games, England got off to a strong start with opener Ben Duckett and captain Jos Buttler adding 76 runs for the second wicket. Duckett was the top scorer for the visitors, smashing 51 off 28 balls with seven fours and two sixes.
Things went downhill for England in the middle overs when Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Buttler. Cruising towards a big score with 83/1, the visitors lost their next five wickets for just 32 runs to fall to 115/6 after 14 overs.
The English batters didnât learn from their mistakes and kept playing reckless shots, handing their wickets to the Indian bowlers. Chakravarthy continued his excellent form and starred for India, taking 5/24 in four overs.
Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has shared his thoughts on Englandâs batting approach in this game.

Reacting to Englandâs batting collapse in the third T20I in Rajkot, Ashwin took to Twitter to troll at the English batsmen, pointing out the thin line between aggressive and reckless cricket.
Ashwin wrote, âThere is a very fine line between playing aggressive brand of cricket and reckless cricket.â
India will be counting on another solid performance from their top-order batsmen â Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Tilak Varma to seal the series. It will be interesting to see if captain Suryakumar Yadav promotes himself up the order to regain form.
