Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets in the first IND vs ENG ODI.

India have dominated England in the first ODI of the three-match series in Nagpur on February 6. Bowling first, India dismissed the visitors for an under-par total of 248 runs.

Harshit Rana triggered a collapse that reduced England from 75/0 to 77/3. Ravindra Jadeja then took control, finishing with 3/26 in nine overs to restrict England to a total under 250.

The Indian all-rounder trapped the experienced Joe Root LBW on 19, and then dismissed the dangerous Jacob Bethell for 51 before cleaning up Adil Rashid for 8.

Ravindra Jadeja completes 600 international wickets for India

Thanks to his three wickets in Nagpur, Jadeja has become India’s fifth-highest wicket-taker in international cricket, surpassing Zaheer Khan, who took 597 wickets across formats.

Anil Kumble leads India’s wicket tally with 953 wickets, followed by Ravi Ashwin, who retired with 765 scalps. Harbhajan Singh and Kapil Dev are third and fourth with 707 and 687 wickets, respectively.

Jadeja’s impressive wickets tally for India has come at an average of 28.95. He has snared 323 wickets in test cricket, 220 in ODIs and 54 in T20Is.

India will hope that Jadeja maintains his rhythm in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where they will play on the dry pitches of Dubai International Stadium.
