Dhruv Jurel made 90 runs and took India’s first innings total to 307 runs in the Ranchi test.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag made a subtle jab at Sarfaraz Khan while praising Dhruv Jurel for his outstanding innings in the ongoing test against England in Ranchi. He stated that the keeper-batsman quietly demonstrated his temperament in difficult times for the squad.

Dhruv Jurel, India’s wicket-keeper-batsman, is one of the main reasons why the hosts are back on track in the ongoing test in Ranchi. After being down and out for two days, the hosts mounted an incredible comeback on day 3, and the game is now evenly poised.

In response to England’s 353, India were left tottering at 177/7, and it appeared like they would be out immediately. However, Dhruv Jurel was the one who proved to be the difference between the two sides and took the advantage away from England. The batsman soaked up the conditions right away, and he and Kuldeep Yadav ensured that India lost no more wickets on Day 2.

When it counted most, Dhruv Jurel stood tall for the squad with incredible fortitude and poise. In addition to playing some spectacular shots and blocking the ball rather effectively, the keeper-batter placed England under strain and ensured that India scored runs rapidly.

He earned huge praise from everyone for his stoic knock of 90 runs in India’s first innings total of 307 runs. He added 76 runs with Kuldeep Yadav as well.

As Dhruv Jurel bailed India out of trouble, Virender Sehwag was in awe of Dhruv Jurel, saying that the keeper-batter without any media hype and drama played well for the team.

Taking to this X account, he posted: “No media hype, no drama, just some outstanding skills and quietly showed great temperament in a very difficult situation. Very Well done Dhruv Jurel. Best wishes.”

Virender Sehwag issues clarification after being slammed for his sly dig at Sarfaraz Khan while praising Dhruv Jurel

Virender Sehwag received a lot of negative feedback from his followers after making fun of Sarfaraz Khan in a tweet on Dhruv Jurel. The former captain of India drew a lot of flak for making fun of other players and complimenting the keeper-batter.

Virender Sehwag responded to all of the criticism with a second tweet in which he clarified his remarks. He stated that everyone who performs should be excited, but he didn’t want to disparage or denigrate anyone in particular.

He posted: “Not to degrade or demean anyone, but hype should be on performance and be equal. Some guys have bowled brilliantly, some have batted exceptionally but haven’t got the hype they deserve. Akash Deep was outstanding here, Yashasvi has been brilliant through the series and so was Sarfaraz at Rajkot and Dhruv Jurel in all his opportunities. Hype sabko karo.”
