Kuldeep Yadav has figures of 1/53 in the first ODI in Nagpur.

England captain Jos Buttler won the toss in the second ODI of the ongoing three-match ODI series in India against Rohit Sharma’s team and elected to bat first on a good batting pitch at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

Both teams made multiple changes to their playing XIs from the first ODI in Nagpur, where India registered a thumping four-wicket win.

In Nagpur, India had restricted England to 248 through three-wicket hauls from Ravindra Jadeja and Harshit Rana before the batsmen gunned down the target with more than 10 overs to spare, courtesy of blazing half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill and Axar Patel.

India have made two changes to their line-up: Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made his ODI debut in Nagpur but managed only 15 runs, and Kuldeep Yadav, who returned with figures of 1/53, will not feature in Cuttack.

Why Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kuldeep Yadav aren’t playing 2nd ODI in Cuttack?

Jaiswal was replaced by Virat Kohli, who missed the first ODI due to a knee injury, and Kuldeep has been rested, making way for Varun Chakravarthy to make his ODI debut.

Chakravarthy was added to the ODI squad on the eve of the start of the series on the back of his terrific T20I form. He also has excellent List-A numbers: 59 wickets in 23 matches at an average of only 14.13, which is the best bowling average in List A cricket among bowlers who have taken more than 50 wickets.
