The IND vs NAM match will be played on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
After beating USA in their opening game, Indian Cricket Team are gearing up for the next clash against Namibia in T20 World Cup 2026. The IND vs NAM will be the 18th match of the tournament, which is scheduled to take place on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Although Namibia is a weak team and the Men-in-Blue have a 100 per cent win record against them, India cannot underestimate them. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. suffered a huge batting collapse in the previous game against the USA after being asked to bat first.
While many fans and experts expected India to post a mammoth total in the encounter, USA bowlers dismissed crucial batters for single digits. At one stage, the Men-in-Blue lost six wickets for 77 runs on the scoreboard. However, Suryakumar (84* off 49) came to the team’s rescue and slammed an unbeaten half-century, taking the total to a respectable 161/9.
Later, Indian bowlers did a fantastic job to restrict USA at 132/8 and clinch a victory by 29 runs. The clash against USA taught a few key lessons to India and they need to analyse their weakness and eradicate them ahead of the upcoming games.
Moreover, the Suryakumar Yadav & Co. might also make a few changes in their playing XI in the next clash against Namibia and below are three of them.
IND vs NAM: 3 changes India could make for their next T20 World Cup 2026 clash
3. Jasprit Bumrah instead of Mohammed Siraj

Jasprit Bumrah did not play in the opening game against USA as he was not well. The right-arm pacer was ruled out of the encounter due to illness. However, he is expected to be fit ahead of the next game and might replace Mohammed Siraj in the playing XI.
Notably, India have a crucial game against arch-rivals Pakistan after the encounter against Namibia. Hence, Bumrah needs to play in the next match as it will allow him to prepare ahead of the Pakistan clash.
2. Washington Sundar over Rinku Singh

After the victory against USA, captain Yadav informed that Washington Sundar has recovered from his injury and will be available for the next clash. Sundar was recovering from a side strain and rib muscle tear for over a month after sustaining the injury in the first ODI against New Zealand in January.
Therefore, India can replace Rinku Singh with Sundar in the next game. The move will also enable the team to have an extra spinner in the playing XI.
1. Sanju Samson over Abhishek Sharma

Opener Abhishek Sharma was suffering from high fever during the clash against USA and might be rested in the next match. Hence, the Men-in-Blue might add Sanju Samson as an opener alongside Ishan Kishan.
Samson could be picked as a pure batter in such a scenario, as Kishan has been given the responsibility behind the stumps in T20 World Cup. Due to Samson’s poor form in the previous T20I series against New Zealand, Kishan replaced him as an opener and wicket-keeper for the tournament.
