Abhishek Sharma got out for a duck in the first over of IND vs NED match.
The IND vs NED encounter of T20 World Cup 2026 is underway at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With India already qualifying for Super 8 stage and Netherlands getting eliminated, the 36th match of the tournament acts a dead-rubber, but yet offers a lot to both teams.

However, he suffered another setback, as he bagged yet another duck in the first over with spinner Aryan Dutt castling his stumps, marking three ducks in a row for him. While many Indian fans were shocked to witness Abhishek failing with the bat once again, many others were also surprised by the fact that he was wearing Mohammed Siraj’s jersey while batting.

Notably, the Indian opener forgot his own jersey at the team hotel. Hence, he wore Siraj’s jersey while batting. This was revealed by former England captain and active commentator Nasser Hussain while speaking on air.
Previously, Abhishek got out for a golden duck in the opening game against USA in the first over itself. He missed the second clash against Namibia due to a stomach infection, which also saw him getting admitted to a hospital in Delhi.
After returning for the clash against Pakistan, Sharma scored another duck by becoming a victim of Salman Agha; this time scoring 0 off four deliveries. With another duck against the Netherlands, the left-handed batsman is having a dreadful campaign so far.
