IND vs NZ: Who are the four travelling reserves added to India squad for test series ?
IND vs NZ three-match test series will begin on October 16.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Friday, 11th October, 2024, announced 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match test series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the side, while speedster Jasprit Bumrah has been named as vice-captain of the side.
The opening test between the two nations will be played in Bengaluru from October 16 to October 20. The second test will be hosted in Pune from October 24 to October 28, followed by the last match of the series from November 1 to November 5 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal, who was part of the test squad for Bangladesh tests, has been left out of the Indian squad for the New Zealand test series. Mohammed Shami, who has been out of cricketing since the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia, continues to remain on the sidelines.
BCCI names four travelling reserves for the New Zealand test series
The Indian selectors have also named four traveling reserves for the New Zealand test series. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and three fast bowlers Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav, and Prasidh Krishna will be travelling alongside the Indian squad during the three-match test series.
Notably, all-rounder Nitish Reddy and young pacer Mayank Yadav recently made their T20I debut during the Bangladesh T20I series. Speedster Harshit Rana, who was added in the T20I squad for the Bangladesh series, is yet to make his T20I debut.
Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna made his test debut last year during a two-match test series against South Africa.

Travelling reserves: Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Krishna
