Interestingly, New Zealand Women are also in contention for the semi-finals despite only one victory so far out of five matches, which they clinched against Bangladesh Women. They lost two games against Australia and South Africa at the start, while their last two matches against Sri Lanka and Pakistan were washed out due to rain.

Notably, South Africa Women, Australia Women, and England Women have already booked their berth in the semi-finals. With four points each, India Women and New Zealand Women occupy the fourth and fifth spots in the points table respectively.

Both of them have two games left in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, hence, the winners of this game will move one step closer to qualifying for the semi-finals. Sri Lanka Women is another team that can qualify for the top four, while Bangladesh and Pakistan are already eliminated from the race to the semis.
