India outplayed USA by 29 runs in their first match, followed by a win against Namibia by 93 runs. On the other hand, Pakistan crushed Netherlands by three wickets in the first match, followed by a victory against USA by 32 runs.

India and Pakistan do not engage in bilateral cricket and only face each other in ICC and Asia Cup tournaments. Hence, both teams are unaware of the strengths of a few players as they face each other on a limited number of occasions.

2. Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Afridi is leading Pakistan’s pace attack in T20 World Cup 2026. The left-arm pacer also played a key role in Pakistan’s victory over India in T20 World Cup 2021. This is the only victory of Pakistan against India in the World Cups. Moreover, with his left-arm angle, he has always troubled Indian batters and could well do again. With weather expected to be overcast, he would hold key for Pakistan with new ball as there might be swing.

Sahibzada Farhan showed a wonderful batting form against India in the Asia Cup 2025 last year. He gave a superb start to Pakistan’s batting in the tournament, where both teams clashed in three matches.
