South Africa have put India under pressure in the second IND vs SA test in Guwahati.

South Africa took command of the match on day two of the second test of the series against India at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. They had a dominating day with the bat and now India need to do something with the bat on day three to stage a comeback.

Resuming with an overnight score of 247 for six, South Africa started the day brilliantly with Senuran Muthusamy (109) and Kyle Verreynne (45) giving a tough time to Indian bowlers. The first session went wicketless with both batters adding 88 runs for the seventh wicket.

After that, the trouble got even worse for India as Muthusamy frustrated bowlers and slammed his maiden test ton. Marco Jansen (93), at the other end, was at his aggressive best as he supported Muthusamy brilliantly with the duo adding 97 runs together.

Jansen also hit a vital fifty and was inching towards his maiden hundred but fell short of just seven runs. His innings powered South Africa to 489 and for India, Kuldeep Yadav picked four wickets.

Indian openers in KL Rahul (2*) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (7) had to do the tough job of playing under lights. But they negotiated the tricky phase as India ended with nine for no loss at stumps on day two, trailing by 480.
