India defeated South Africa in the third IND vs SA T20I in Dharamsala to gain 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

Indian Cricket Team and South Africa Cricket Team squared off in third T20I of the five-match series on Sunday, December 14 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. outplayed South Africa by seven wickets to gain a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

After opting to bowl first in the encounter, Indian bowlers delivered a lethal bowling performance, bundling out the Proteas for just 117 runs in the first innings. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana gave early blows to the visitors, dismissing Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, and Dewald Brewis cheaply in the powerplay overs.

Aiden Markram led the fightback with his half-century (61); however, other batters failed to support him, losing their wickets like a house of cards. Arshdeep, Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav took two scalps each to showcase magnificent teamwork for India.

In the chase, Abhishek Sharma (35) and Shubman Gill (28) made a quickfire opening stand of 60 runs, helping the hosts to dominate from the start of the chase. The Proteas bowlers were helpless while defending a low total. In the end, India chased down the target with comfort within 16 overs by seven wickets.
