West Indies made a strong comeback with the bat after being enforced follow-on in the second IND vs WI test.

The West Indies Cricket Team had a decent day with the bat in the second IND vs WI test after having two horrible days in the field. The start of the day three didn’t go in their favour, but later in the day, they made a strong comeback and made the things tough for the Indian Cricket Team.

Resuming the day with the overnight score of 140/4, West Indies lost wickets quickly on day three with Kuldeep Yadav spinning web around the batters. The wrist spinner made the opposition batters look clueless and picked his fifth fifer in the longest format of the game.

Ravindra Jadeja also contributed with three scalps as India ended the West Indies’ first innings on 248, taking a massive lead of 270. None of the batters from the visitors’ camp could go past 50 runs, which says a lot about their poor batting effort.

With a massive lead in the bank, Indian captain Shubman Gill enforced the follow-on. In the second innings, the West Indies lost opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul early for 10 and soon after that Alick Athanaze (7) followed. However, after that John Campbell (87*) and Shai Hope (66*) joined hands together and bailed their team out of trouble. They played the Indian spinners with extreme focus and ensured that they stay unbeaten at crease.

The duo added unbeaten 138 runs stand for the third wicket as the West Indies ended day three with 173 for two, trailing by 97 runs.
