IND vs ZIM: 3 Zimbabwe players who could trouble India in Super 8 clash of T20 World Cup 2026

IND vs ZIM clash in the Super 8 Round of T20 World Cup 2026 will be a must-win for Indian Cricket Team.

India have a do-or-die situation in front of them as they next take on the field against Zimbabwe in the Super 8 round of the T20 World Cup 2026. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. need to win the clash to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive. The IND vs ZIM match will be played on February 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Although India are considered far stronger than Zimbabwe, they cannot take them lightly as the latter crushed big teams like Sri Lanka and Australia in the first round. A few Zimbabwe players have shown a spectacular performance, and India need to be cautious against them.

Below are three such players who could trouble India in the Super 8 clash.

3. Brian Bennett

Zimbabwe opener Brian Bennett has been in wonderful form in the T20 World Cup 2026 so far. The left-handed batter has scored 180 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 124.14. In the league stage, he was unbeaten across all three games, scoring 48* against Oman, 64* versus Australia, and 63* against Sri Lanka.

His brilliant starts played a crucial role in the team’s winning streak in the first round. The young batter failed to make a mark for the first time in the previous game against the West Indies, where he lost his wicket for five runs.

Although the 22-year-old has a low strike rate of 124.14, he can emerge as dangerous against India if he manages to get another soil start.

2. Blessing Muzarabani

Blessing Muzarabani has been lethal with the ball and is the joint second-highest wicket-taker in T20 World Cup 2026. The right-arm pacer has clinched 11 scalps at an average of 10.27 and an economy of just 7.06.

He picked a three-wicket haul against Oman and a four-for against Australia, winning Player of the Match in both games. With his huge experience and current form, he can dominate Indian batters in the Super 8 clash.

Sikandar Raza has earned a lot of credit for Zimbabwe’s success in the T20 World Cup 2026 for his brilliant captaincy. The senior all-rounder has also led from the front with his performance.

For instance, he was adjudged Player of the Match against Sri Lanka for his impressive 26-ball 45 in the group stage. He also hit an unbeaten 25* off 13 against Australia.

Scoring 102 runs in four games with two unbeaten scores, he has a superb average of 51.0 and a strike rate of 167.21. Moreover, India’s openers have struggled against off-spinners, and Raza can trouble them with his off-spin.
