India A squad for ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka A & Afghanistan A announced, Tilak Varma named captain

The Tri-Series will take place in Sri Lanka next month.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka. India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A will clash in an ODI Tri-Series next month.
The campaign will begin on June 9, when Sri Lanka will face India. The series will observe a double round-robin format. The final will take place on June 21. The matches will take place in Dambulla.
India A will also clash with Sri Lanka A in two red-ball matches after the tri-series. The squad for the campaign will be announced later.
Tilak Varma to lead India A in tri-series
Tilak Varma has been named captain of India A for the tri-series in Sri Lanka, while Riyan Parag has been appointed as his deputy. Youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been added to the squad following his impressive performance in the ongoing IPL 2026 and in the U19 World Cup earlier this year.
Batters like Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, and Suryansh Shedge, who have delivered brilliant performances in IPL 2026, have been added to the squad. Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, and Harsh Dubey are a few all-rounders.
Prabhsimran and Kumar Kushagra are two wicket-keepers in the squad. In the bowling department, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, Anshul Kamboj, and Arshad Khan have been included.
