Jitesh Sharma to lead as BCCI announces India A squad for Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025

India A are placed in Group B in Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the India A squad for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025. The tournament will be played in Qatar from November 14 to 23. The Governing body has named a 15-member squad for the tournament, which will be led by Jitesh Sharma with Naman Dhir being appointed as his deputy.

Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi are two openers in India A squad for the tournament, while Nehal Wadhera, Dhir, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh and Ashutosh Sharma will be key batters in the middle-order. Abhishek Porel is the second wicket-keeper.

The pace department comprises bowlers in Gurjapneet Singh, Yash Thakur, Vyshak Vijaykumar, and Yudhvir Singh Charak. Suyash Sharma and Harsh Dubey will lead the team’s spin attack. BCCI have also named five standby players for the tournament.

Standby players – Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, and Shaik Rasheed.

Notably, India A are placed in Group B in the tournament alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A. The Men in Blue will face UAE in their opening clash on Friday (November 14). Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, and Sri Lanka A are the other three teams in the tournament, who are placed in Group A.
