In the group stage, India outplayed Pakistan through bowl out in a tied match. In the nail-biting final clash, the MS Dhoni & Co. outplayed them by five runs to clinch the title and win the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Over the years, many Indian batters have impressed with their batting resilience and spectacular performances against Pakistan in T20 World Cups. In T20 World Cup 2007, the former left-handed batsman got out for a duck in the group stage clash but later scored 75 runs in the final. Later, he faced Pakistan in the 2012 edition, where he once again grabbed a duck.

Opening batter Ishan Kishan clinches fourth spot on this list with 77 runs in one game. In T20 World Cup 2026, Kishan hammered a half-century against the Men-in-Green in the 27th match of the tournament at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

3. Rohit Sharma- 81 runs

Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma takes the third spot with 81 runs in six innings, with a highest score of an unbeaten 30 runs. He also got out for 0 runs in one game. He has featured in seven games against the Men-in-Green in T20 World Cups, but did not get a chance to bat in one encounter.

2. Rishabh Pant-81 runs

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has only played against Pakistan in two matches in T20 World Cups, but still takes the second spot with 81 runs.
