Ishan Kishan made his test debut against West Indies in the recently concluded series.

Team India opted for an aggressive approach against West India on day 4 of the second test at Queen Park Oval in Port of Spain. With just two days remaining in the game, captain Rohit Sharma and team management came in with positive intent to bat and look for the win rather than playing for a draw.

Captain Rohit along with his new opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal added 98 runs in just 11.5 overs to give India a great start in the second innings. Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan also smashed a fifty in just 32 balls to put 365 runs target in front of West Indies. This approach was similar to what England's 'Bazball' tactic looks like.

'Not possible to play aggressively every game'

Indian wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan gave his opinion on England's Bazball and aggressive approach and said it will not be possible for teams to set one template for the entire series or every inning. Kishan said, "It is not possible that you can play that fast every day. It depends on the situation also". Kishan further added, "England are batting quickly but you need to see what kind of wickets they are playing. Mostly where we play it is not easy to bat because there is turn and bounce".

Batting has certainly become difficult in Indian pitches as the use of rank turners increased massively. Even Indian batters have struggled to score big on those wickets.

Ishan Kishan made his test debut against West Indies in the first test at Windsor Park. Kishan said playing aggressively in flat tracks will be easier. He said, "If the wicket is flat, where you can score quickly, and the need of the team is to get runs quickly, then I think you can take on that action. I don't think we must play aggressively in every match. but whenever there will be a need of playing attacking cricket we have got enough firepower in our ranks. I don't think you can always play attacking shots in test cricket". Kishan was seen as an ideal replacement for injured wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant in the playing xi.
