Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. During the toss, he revealed that India have made three changes to their playing XI. All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the game due to a niggle. He faced cramps during India’s last Super Four clash against Sri Lanka and left the field after bowling one over.

Apart from Pandya, India left out pacers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, while Jasprit Bumrah, Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh replaced them in the playing XI. Pakistan captain Salman Agha revealed that they have made no changes to their playing XI from the last game.
