2 players from India's ICC U19 World Cup 2024 squad who will play in IPL 2024

Only two players from the India ICC U19 World Cup 2024 squad will be seen in the IPL 2024.

Indian Premier League 2024 min-auction was held in Dubai on 19th December, 2023. IPL mini-auction witnessed some records being broken with extensive bidding wars between franchises. Two Australian players got the biggest deals in the history of the tournament and set a new benchmark for others. Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc became Indian Premier League’s most expensive player in history. Kolkata Knight Riders placed the highest bid of 24.75 Crore INR on the left-arm pacer.

Along with a few big buys, teams also have showed their trust upon youngsters to include them in their squads. Two players from India’s ICC U19 World Cup 2024 batch will get an opportunity to share the dugout with big names of cricketing world during the IPL 2024.

The auction happened before the start of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Only a few names got a contract in the league. India U19 team has done an exceptional job in the tournament so far. Let’s have a look at the names of Indian U19 World Cup squad members with an IPL contract.

1. Arshin Kulkarni (Lucknow Super Giants) :

All-rounder Arshin Kulkarni will be representing Lucknow Super Giants in Indian Premier League 2024. Arshin Kulkarni was bought by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2024 mini-auction in Dubai at his base price of 20 lakhs INR. Arshin’s dream is to become the best all-rounder for Indian cricket team.

He has done a terrific job for India U19 side in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Arshin scored a century against USA U19. He also represents Maharashtra in the Indian domestic cricket and has played six T20I games so far. He has scored 121 runs and picked up four wickets for Maharashtra so far in T20 cricket.

2. Aravelly Avinash Rao (Chennai Super Kings) :

Along with all-rounder Arshin Kulkarni, India U19 wicket-keeper Aravelly Avinash Rao will also be playing in the Indian Premier League 2024. Avinash Rao will be representing Chennai Super Kings. CSK placed a successful bid on the youngster of 20 lakhs INR.

Avinash is playing the role of a finisher along with wicket-keeping responsibilities for India in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Avinash Rao represents Hyderabad in Indian domestic cricket and made his List A debut two months back in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023-24.
