India will face Australia in the third and final ODI on Wednesday at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.

Team India have been unstoppable and have the momentum going just ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. After winning Asia Cup 2023, they comfortably thrashed Australia and won the series with one game yet to be played. The hosts won the first game by five wickets and registered a win by 99 runs in the second ODI.

Now, both teams will face each other in the third ODI game on September 27 (Wednesday). This match will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, which has a batting surface with an average score of 311 runs. Here we will talk about the predicted playing XI in the third ODI for India.

IND vs AUS: India's Predicted playing XI vs Australia

India's captain, Rohit Sharma, will be back in the final ODI after getting rest in the first two games. This will be the last game before the World Cup, so Rohit will look to get into the mood and play a good innings to get his rhythm back that he showed during Asia Cup 2023. Rohit has done well against Australia and will be a big wicket at the top.

2. Ishan Kishan :

Shubman Gill has been rested for the third ODI, and India announced that Ishan Kishan will be opening the innings. It will give the left-hand and right-hand combinations to the team. Ishan has been in decent form off-late and has played good cameos in this series. Though his batting position in World Cup is not certain, a good innings in the second ODI will help him make his case stronger.

3. Virat Kohli :

Virat Kohli will also be back in the playing XI after resting from the first two games. Just like Rohit, he also has pretty good numbers against Australia, and they will be aware of it. Virat can take the game away and play a big innings, which he has shown in recent times. Thus, his wicket will be very important for Australia to take early.

4. Shreyas Iyer :

Virat at No. 3 will push Shreyas Iyer at No. 4, where he has been phenomenal in ODIs. After scoring his third century in the previous game, Iyer will be high on confidence to take on Aussies. He will be looking to put pressure on Australia and show why India have shown so much trust in him.

5. KL Rahul (wk) :

Since his return to injury, KL Rahul has shown brilliant consistency and has already scored two half-centuries in his first two ODIs. Rahul has become a very important player in the middle-order. Whether India gets off to a good start or not, one can depend on Rahul in the middle. Looking at his form, we expect another good innings from him.

6. Suryakumar Yadav:

Suryakumar Yadav has shown brilliant form in this series. He has scored two consecutive sixes in this series and played an important role in India's win. SKY scored 50 off 49 in the first game in a chase and then smashed an unbeaten 72 in Indore. India will expect him to play yet another knock so that India can register a 3-0 whitewash.

7. Ravindra Jadeja :

Ravindra Jadeja is another X factor in the Indian squad in all three departments. The all-rounder picked up three wickets in the last game to finish off the game for India. Though his batting hasn't been tested so far, as we all know, he can be as good as any top-order batter with the bat in hand. Jadeja will look to finish off the series well with both the bat and the ball.

8. Ravi Ashwin :

Ravi Ashwin has shown great form in the second ODI, taking three important wickets in the middle to break the backbone of Australia. He had a brilliant game, and after getting his chance in ODis after a while, Ashwin knows the importance. The third ODI can be his last chance to make an impact for a place in the World Cup, and he is likely to deliver a good performance.

9. Kuldeep Yadav :

India's X factor with the ball, Kuldeep Yadav, will be back for the third game. India didn't expose him in the first two matches, but he is expected to make a mark right away. Australia have a history against a wrist spinners, and Kuldeep has all to exploit it. If he does, India will get another easy win.

10. Jasprit Bumrah :

After a break from the second ODI, Jasprit Bumrah will also be back in the playing XI. He will be replacing Prasidh Krishna. Bumrah bowled pretty well in the first ODI, and Australians were not able to hit against him. He is in good form and can remove a few wickets from Australian top-order to put pressure on the visitors.

11. Mohammed Siraj :

It will be unfortunate that Mohammed Shami, who is the leading wicket-taker in the series, will have to make way for Mohammed Siraj. But India will look to give Siraj some game time before World Cup starts. Siraj's last spell was 6/21 in the final of Asia Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka, and he can be challenging for the visitors.
