India will play Bangladesh in the first Semi-final of the Men's Cricket competition at Asian Games 2023.

The men's cricket competition at Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou is left with two games to be played before the finals for the gold medal. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh qualified for the semi-finals. Both semi-final games will take place on Friday, October 5. India will face Bangladesh in the first semi-finals on Friday.

India beat Nepal in the high-scoring game by 23 runs in the quarter-finals stage. Bangladesh are coming off a narrow win over Malaysia. India will enter the semi-finals as favorites to win and will look to do the same. Here is the predicted playing XI for India on Friday against Bangladesh.

IND vs BAN: India's Predicted playing XI vs Bangladesh

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad (c) :

Ruturaj Gaikwad is leading the team, but he looked a bit rusty in the game against Nepal. Gaikwad scored 25 off 23 balls in that game. But he is in good form and had scored runs against Australia in ODIs. Gaikwad will be looking to play a captain's knock and can take the game away from the top.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal :

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been brilliant since he made his debut for Indian team. He started with a debut ton in the test and has also scored a T20I century. The left-hander was pretty good and scored 100 off 49 balls against Nepal. He was the reason that India won. He will look to repeat the performance and score another big score on Friday.

3. Rahul Tripathi :

Tilak Varma failed with the bat against Nepal, and we might see Rahul Triphathi at No. 3 for India. Tripathi is a naturally aggressive player who plays in one way, which is to go after the bowling attack. He can hit good balls for boundaries as well, which makes him a difficult batter to bowl to.

4. Jitesh Sharma (wk) :

Jitesh Sharma made his debut in the last game against Nepal but couldn't play well, but he will be keen to grab the other opportunities. He can be a floater in the team who can bat at any position, and his IPL numbers in the last couple of seasons are just phenomenal. Jitesh can be another crop of Indian youngsters with a fearless approach.

5. Rinku Singh :

Rinku Singh is one of the biggest stars in the squad, and fans just love him for what he does. Even in the game against Nepal, he scored 25 runs in the last over, which took India's score over 200 and became the difference between two innings. Rinku scored 37 off just 15 and will look to deliver another game-changing cameo on Friday.

6. Shivam Dube :

The big left-hander, Shivam Dube, will be a dangerous batter if he gets going. The pitch in Hangzhou is pretty small, and Dube can hit the balls very long. That's what he is in for in this squad, to hit big sixes and score runs quickly. Though he looked off-color with the ball in hand, he played a cameo of 19-balls 25 against Nepal.

7. Washington Sundar :

Washington Sundar was part of the quarter-finals but didn't have much to contribute. He bowled just one over and didn't bat. But he is a pretty good option with the bat at no. 7 and a regular bowler who can bowl in power-play as well. Sundar can get a grip on the pitch and can be tricky to handle for Bangladesh.

8. Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore :

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore made his debut for India in the game against Nepal after some consistent domestic performances. He impressed everyone right away and bowled brilliantly. Sai Kishore ended up taking 1/25 in his four overs in the high-scoring game. He can take a few wickets early on with his change-ups.

9. Ravi Bishnoi :

Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers for India and helped the team win against Nepal. He took 3/24 in his four overs and looked difficult to play. Bishnoi is a very smart bowler, and his biggest ability is to take wickets in the middle. He can also restrict the batters, and his four overs will be very crucial for India.

10. Avesh Khan :

Avesh Khan was another bowler who had a good game against Nepal. The pacer took wickets with the new ball and came back to dismiss a few other batters. He finished with 3/32. He can bowl at good speed and can rattle the batters. Bangladesh will be aware of that, and Avesh can put them under pressure with the new ball.

11. Arshdeep Singh :

The left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh, brings a different variety to Indian bowling attack. He can bring the ball back-in to the right-hander, which is hard to pick. Adding to that, he is a swing bowler who can swing the ball both ways, which is why he can be a real threat for Bangladesh in the power-play.
