PAK vs IND: India Playing XI vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2023, Super Four Match 3 - Predicted

India will take on Pakistan in the third game of the Super Four in Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday in Colombo.
After a disappointing washout in the group stage, India and Pakistan are all set to face each other once again in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. This time they will play in super four, and fans are really excited to see these two teams come face-to-face in an ODI game. Pakistan won their first match of super four against Bangladesh by five wickets and are just one win away from a place in the finals of the tournament.
Meanwhile, India are coming off a ten-wicket win over Nepal in their second group game. They will be playing their first super four match on Sunday, and it will be a big game that will set the tone for the rest of the tournament. Here we will talk about the predicted XI for India against Pakistan.
PAK vs IND: India's Predicted XI vs Pakistan
1. Rohit Sharma:

Indian captain Rohit Sharma will be keen to break the monkey off his back and score runs against Shaheen Afridi and Pakistan team. He has struggled against Pakistan in the last few matches across formats, and we all know how dangerous he can be when in full flow. He got out to Shaheen after scoring 11 runs off 22 balls, but Indian captain will look to make the most of it this time around.
2. Shubman Gill:

Shubman Gill looked rusty in the first game against Pakistan and managed an unfamiliar knock of 10 runs off 32 balls. He hasn't gotten going at all. But against Nepal, he played well and returned unbeaten with a half-century. That knock would have given him some confidence, and he will look to take on the Pakistani pacers, which is a hard job to do, in the powerplay. A good start from Gill will be very important.
3. Virat Kohli:

If India have some issues while facing Pakistani quicks, Pakistan will certainly have the same mindset while playing against Virat Kohli. The former Indian captain has enjoyed a lot of success against them over the years and will be the most important wicket this time around as well. He got unlucky and was chopped on in the last game. But he is too good a player to overcome that.
4. Shreyas Iyer:

It will be a big call to choose between Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul at No. 4. But India might not make any changes to the batting, at least. So we might see Iyer get the nod. He looked good in the last game and scored 9-balls 14 but got out while playing a shot. However, Iyer will be keen to get some runs under his belt as he is coming off a long break.
5. Ishan Kishan (WK):

After a blistering 81-balls 82 from the bat of Ishan Kishan, it will be a mistake if India replaces him with Rahul. India certainly need a left-hander in their top six, and that too an in-form batter. Ishan already showed what form can do, as his innings came at a crucial time when India were struggling. But he will be confident enough to replicate that performance once again.
6. Hardik Pandya:

Hardik Pandya is the most important player in Indian team in both departments. Because he gives the team the right balance that they need in any cricket match. The all-rounder showed what he can do with the bat when he scored 87 off 90 against Pakistan in the last game and followed it up with 1/34 against Nepal, bowling three maidens. Hardik can be the gamechanger once again.
7. Ravindra Jadeja:

Ravindra Jadeja is in the form of his life and is one of the most impactful players in the current Indian team. He took 3/40 against Nepal and restricted the batters in the middle-overs. He can also change the game with his batting and fielding because he is a true match-winner. India will hope that he can have a better game because he can single-handedly win the match.
8. Kuldeep Yadav:

Kuldeep Yadav is another wicket-taking option that India have at the moment. He has been brilliant for India in recent times and has earned his place back in the team. Kuldeep has troubled Pakistan earlier, including Babar Azam as well. He will be looking to bowl another match-winning spell on Sunday to help India register a win.
9. Jasprit Bumrah:

Jasprit Bumrah is back after the birth of his first child, and he will be back on Sunday against Pakistan. The ace pacer hasn't bowled in this tournament, but he will be the man on whom India will rely a lot in the power-play and death overs. Bumrah can surely change the game if he can take a few wickets upfront and put pressure on Pakistan.
10. Mohammed Shami:

Mohammed Shami will be another key bowler in the current team. In swing conditions, he can be pretty lethal. He was pretty good against Nepal as well, but his real test will be against Pakistan. And as we said, if the conditions are favourable, Shami is not less than any bowler across both teams. India will hope that he can take a few wickets upfront, which will put Pakistan under pressure.
11. Mohammed Siraj:

Mohammed Siraj is the in-form bowler for India, taking wickets in every game he is playing. The pacer has shown brilliant growth in the last year or so and has now become a key player across formats. He took 3/61 against Nepal but was on the expensive side. But Siraj is a canny bowler who picks wickets at crucial times.
Toss Update: KL Rahul replaces Shreyas Iyer in the playing XI. Shreyas Iyer ruled out with back spasm.
