India will take on Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 23.

The highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 clash between India and Pakistan will take place on February 23, Sunday, in Dubai.

India are coming to the contest following a convincing six-wicket win against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue had also whitewashed England in a three-match ODI series before the Champions Trophy and are widely considered favourites for the title.

Shubman Gill has been India’s most in-form batsman, smashing two centuries and two half-centuries in his last four ODI innings. The opener will face a tough challenge against Pakistan’s quality fast-bowling attack, featuring Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah.

Pakistan, on the other hand, had a poor start to the tournament, losing to New Zealand by 60 runs. Chasing a 321-run target, Pakistan’s batsmen lacked intent and couldn’t get the chase going.

On that note, let’s take a look at India’s record against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy.

What is India’s record against Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy?

India have faced Pakistan five times in the ICC Champions Trophy – winning two and losing three of these contests. The India-Pakistan clashes in the Champions Trophy took place in 2004, 2009, 2013, and twice in 2017.

Pakistan won the first two encounters in 2004 and 2009 by three wickets and 54 runs, respectively, before India ended the streak in 2013 in Birmingham, defeating them by eight wickets in the group stage match.

India defeated them again in 2017 in Birmingham by 124 runs in the group stage match. However, when the two teams met again in the tournament final, Pakistan had the last laugh, clinching the title with a dominant 180-run victory. Fakhar Zaman was named Player of the Match in the final for his 114 off 106 balls.
