India's tour of South Africa 2024
India dismiss South Africa for 55 in the second test, set a new record in Test cricket

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, South Africa got all out for 55 against India in the second test.
Thinking of a good sunshine, dry Newlands wicket, and hot and warm Cape Town weather, South African skipper Dean Elgar won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the second test. Dean Elgar was thinking of setting a good score on the board when they walk back to the dressing room for lunch. But Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj changed the entire script of the match with his magnificent opening spell.
Right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj picked his first ever six-wicket haul in test cricket and bowled a lethal spell of 6/15 in 9 overs. Siraj was kept on for 9 overs, which helped India restrict South Africa to just 55 runs total. South Africa now see themselves having an unwanted record to their name following dismal batting show in the opening session of the first day’s play at Newlands, Cape Town.
