India to tour Australia for 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is in October-November 2025; Schedule announced

India toured Australia in 2024 for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Australia will host India for an eight-match white-ball series in October-November this year, Cricket Australia announced on Sunday, March 30.

The tour will begin on October 19, with India playing the first match of the three-match ODI series at the Optus Stadium in Perth, followed by a five-match T20I series starting on October 29 in Canberra.

It will be the first time India will play an international fixture in Gold Coast, a coastal city in Queensland, located 70 kilometers from Brisbane.

The Asian giants recently toured Australia from November 2024 to January 2025 for the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, which they lost 1-3. It was also the first time India lost the trophy since 2015.

The Men in Blue fought back in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, defeating Australia by four wickets in the semi-finals during their winning campaign.

India have emerged as a force to reckon with in T20Is under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 champions have adopted an ultra-aggressive approach and have scored over 200 runs in an innings on multiple occasions recently.

They recently defeated Bangladesh 3-0 before edging past South Africa 3-1 and England 4-1 in the T20I series. Australia, on the other hand, have played limited T20I cricket since the 2024 World Cup, drawing a three-match series against England 1-1 before sweeping Pakistan 3-0 at home.
