India last toured Bangladesh in 2022-23 for two tests and three ODIs.
India will tour Bangladesh for a six-match white-ball series in August 2025; the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the full schedule on April 15, 2025. India are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on August 13.
It will be India’s first bilateral T20I series in Bangladesh, and they will play three ODIs and three T20Is. Additionally, this is their first white-ball-only trip to Bangladesh since they visited for three ODIs in 2014.
The third ODI and first T20I will take place at Chattogram’s Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Cricket Stadium (formerly the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium), while the first two ODIs and the final two T20Is will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
This tour will be the final preparation for the 2025 T20 Asia Cup, for which India are the hosts.
India’s schedule for the Bangladesh tour
Three ODIs and three T20Is are part of the visit, and games are planned at Mirpur and Chattogram.
The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur will host the second ODI on August 20 and the start of the ODI series on August 17. On August 23, the last ODI will take place in Chattogram.
The T20I leg will begin in Chattogram on August 26 and ends with two games in Mirpur on August 29 and 31. Additionally, this will be the first bilateral T20I series between Bangladesh and India to be played in Bangladesh.
“This series promises to be one of the most exciting and most anticipated events in our home calendar. India has set the benchmark in international cricket across all formats, and the cricket-loving millions in both countries are sure to enjoy this contest. Bangladesh and India have played some very competitive matches in recent years, and I am confident that this will be another hard-fought and entertaining series,” said BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury as per Cricbuzz.
When Bangladesh visited India in 2024, the hosts won the most recent T20I series with a resounding 3-0 triumph. When India visited Bangladesh in 2022 for their most recent ODI series match, they lost 1-2.
