India vs Australia T20I series 2023 will start on 23rd November at ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium Visakhapatnam.

Australia began their India tour with a three-match ODI series before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and will conclude with a five-match T20I series which will be starting from November 23 in Vishakhapatnam. Both teams have rested their senior players after a hectic World Cup campaign that concluded on 19th November. Australia ended up winning their sixth World Cup title after defeating team India in the finals at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Team India announced their 15-member squad for the first three T20I games, and Shreyas Iyer will become the 16th member to join Indian squad for the rest of the two T20I games in Raipur and Bengaluru. Suryakumar Yadav has been appointed the captain of the squad, and he will be taking up the responsibility for the first time in his career. Only Suryakumar Yadav, Prasidh Krishna and Ishan Kishan have been retained from the World Cup 2023 squad for the five-match T20I series.

Australia will also go in with Matthew Wade and have decided to give a much-needed rest to their senior pros like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Cameron Green, and a few more. Matthew Wade has led Australian cricket team before in this format, and now he is leading the side consisting of Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa. Australia have also recalled Kane Richardson and Aaron Hardie to the team.

The first T20I game will be played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam on November 23. Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield cricket stadium will host the second T20I on November 26. The third T20I will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on November 28. Raipur will be getting a game after a long time on December 1st. The series will conclude at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on December 3.
