India to host New Zealand for 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is in January 2026; BCCI announces schedule and venues

The Indian Cricket Team are currently in England for the test-series against the Ben Stokes-led side.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the white-ball series against the New Zealand Cricket Team set to be played next year. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series, followed by a five-match T20I series. 

The New Zealand tour of India will begin with the three-match ODI series. The first match will be played on 11th January in Baroda, followed by the second game to be played on 14th January in Rajkot. The last game is scheduled to take place on 18th January in Indore. 

After that, the action will move to Nagpur, which will host the first T20I between India and New Zealand on 21st January. The second match is slated to begin on 23rd January in Raipur. The third and fourth games will be played on the 25th and 28th of January in Guwahati and Vizag respectively. 

The New Zealand tour will conclude on 31st January with the fifth T20I in Trivandrum. The series will be extremely crucial for both teams as the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in February, and it will act as a great preparation for both teams.

The Indian Cricket Team are currently in England and will soon be seen in action in the test series against the Ben Stokes-led side. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the five-match series, which will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27. 

The test series will begin from 20th June and it will also mark the beginning of new era in Indian cricket. Shubman Gill will be leading the young team. The team will be without Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently announced their retirements.
