4. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant has been India’s most consistent batter in test cricket in the last 4-5 years now. He has been the biggest match-winner for India in this format, having already won several games on his own. Pant missed cricket for more than one year after his car accident, but he is still on this list. Pant has played 38 tests in the ICC WTC and has scored 2731 runs at an average of 43.34 with six centuries and 16 half-centuries.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has raced on to the top three on this elite list very quickly. He made his test debut in 2023 and has already notched up seven hundreds in just 26 games. Jaiswal has scored 2420 runs at an average of 52.60, with two double hundreds. He is the second-fastest Indian batter to complete 1000 test runs and third-fastest to reach 2000 runs.
2. Rohit Sharma

The former Indian test captain Rohit Sharma had a great test career. His good starts were the key reasons that India made it to the finals of the first two ICC WTC editions. His promotion up the order played a big role in him succeeding as a test player. Rohit played 40 tests in the ICC WTC and scored 2716 runs at an average of 41.15 with nine centuries and eight half-centuries.
1. Shubman Gill

The new-gen superstar Shubman Gill is expected to take the Indian batting legacy forward. He has become the test captain now and had a dream start to his captaincy. From his record-breaking captaincy debut series in England to his first home test series as captain, he has piled on runs consistently.
He made his test debut during the first ICC WTC edition and has played 39 tests so far. Gill has scored 2826 runs at an average of 43.47 with ten centuries and eight half-centuries.
