Indian cricket fraternity congratulates Australia opener David Warner on his illustrious test career

David Warner bowed out of Test cricket following Australia vs Pakistan third test at the SCG.
Cricket fans around the globe bid a bittersweet farewell to one of the modern eraâs dynamic opening batsmen, David Warner, who played his last test match of his brilliant career. Warner had announced his retirement in June last year and ad declared the three-match test series against Pakistan will be his last. The seasoned Australian cricketer made it clear that the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) test would be his final appearance in the longest format of the game.
Over the course of his illustrious test career, spanning 112 matches, Warner etched his name in history books. His aggressive yet elegant style of play was enjoyed by fans. David Warner accumulated 8,786 runs at an average of 44.59, including a monumental high score of 335*.

The SCG test, filled with emotions and nostalgia, saw Warner walk out to the crease for one last time in the whites. Facing Pakistanâs bowling attack, the left-handed batter showcased his class, scoring a total of 91 runs in the last test match.
In the final innings of his career, Warner scored 57 runs off 75 balls. His performances were symbolic in this format, as he bid farewell on a high. Australiaâs comprehensive 3-0 series victory against Pakistan further elevated the significance of Warnerâs farewell, contributing to a fitting end to a remarkable career.
