Indian Cricket Team full schedule for 2025

Indian Cricket Team’s first match of the year 2025 will be against Australia.

The year 2024 was a tale of contrasting halves for the Indian Cricket Team. The Men in Blue began the year with victory in the Cape Town test, followed a convincing T20I series victory against Afghanistan and a dominant 4-1 home test series win against England.

The biggest triumph of the year for the Asian giants came in June when they won the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2024. India’s historic campaign was marked by an unbeaten nine-match streak that secured them the title.

In July, the Indian team toured Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, securing T20I series victories with a 4-1 win against Zimbabwe and a 3-0 sweep against Sri Lanka.

India’s slump in form began in August with a surprising 0-2 defeat in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. While they rebounded to defeat Bangladesh in both the test and T20I series, the team hit a historic low in October, suffering a 0-3 whitewash at home against New Zealand in the test series.

The T20 world champions then travelled to South Africa, where they secured a comfortable 3-1 victory in the four-match T20I series, before heading to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25.

India began the BGT 2024-25 with a dominant 295-run victory in Perth. However, inconsistent batting performances saw them end the year trailing 2-1 after four tests. The fifth test of the series will be played in Sydney, starting on January 3, 2025.

The year 2025 has a lot of exciting cricketing action in store including the return of the ICC Champions Trophy after an eight-year hiatus. The year will also feature India’s tour of England 2025, consisting of five tests. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will start in March.
