The Indian cricket team will play all their matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.

The Indian cricket team‘s chances at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 took a huge dent when Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the competition due to a back injury. Harshit Rana has replaced him in the squad, while the Men In Blue have included Varun Chakravarthy as well, replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Despite Bumrah’s absence, India are one of the strong favorites considering their superb form in ODI cricket. They reached the final of the World Cup 2023, then won an ODI series in South Africa. India lost in Sri Lanka last year on what were extremely spin-friendly pitches in Colombo, but recently defeated England at home.

The Indian cricket team will play all their matches in the Champions Trophy in Dubai. So, they are the only team to play all their games in one venue, which is an added advantage.

Indian Cricket Team playing 11 for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 – Predicted

1. Rohit Sharma (C)

After a horrible time during the test series against New Zealand and Australia and failure in the first ODI against England, doubts were raised over Rohit Sharma’s place in the ODI side. But he proved that he’s not yet done by smashing 119 runs off 90 balls in Cuttack and silenced all doubters.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 could also prove to be the last ICC tournament that Rohit leads India in.

2. Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill was the stand-out batsman of the IND vs ENG ODI series. He hit two fifties in the first two ODIs and capped the series off with a breezy century in the third ODI. He scored 259 runs in the series at a strike rate of 103 and would be aiming to take this form in the Champions Trophy.

3. Virat Kohli

After struggling against Australian pacers in the test series, Virat Kohli was twice dismissed by Adil Rashid in the IND vs ENG ODIs. He showed a sign of returning to form in the third ODI with a scratchy knock of 52 runs off 55 balls but played some glorious shots as well.

4. Shreyas Iyer

Not Kohli, but the main man in India’s middle-order in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be Shreyas Iyer, who is an excellent player of spin. But during the IND vs ENG ODIs, he also hammered the English pacers with disdain.

Against England, he scored 181 runs at a strike rate of 123 with two fifties to his name.

5. Axar Patel

It seems that head coach Gautam Gambhir has decided to use Axar Patel as the left-handed floater in the middle-order. Patel stood up to the demand against England with knocks of 52 (47) and 41* (43) and counter-attacked against the English spinners. He also remained tidy with the ball, having an economy of less than 5.5.

6. KL Rahul (wk)

KL Rahul was preferred over Rishabh Pant in all three ODIs against England. After failing in the first two ODIs, Rahul scored a vital 40 (29) in the third ODI. He is expected to start over Pant in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

7. Hardik Pandya

Once again Hardik Pandya is going to be a crucial player for the Indian cricket team in an ICC tournament. In Asian conditions, he is often being given the responsibility of the third seamer and also sometimes bowls with the new ball.

He is a terrific finisher with the bat. However, India would want more control and potency with the ball from Pandya.

8. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja remains a strong pillar in the Indian bowling attack. Not only Jadeja is one of the best in the world at controlling the run-flow, bu also the left-arm spinner is a regular wicket-taker.

In two matches against England, Jadeja took six wickets at an economy of only 3.21. He will play a huge role for India in Dubai in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

9. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav made a return to Indian side after his groin injury and took two wickets in two ODIs he played against England at home. He is expected to earn a spot in India’s starting XI for the Champions Trophy 2025, where India will play all of their matches at Dubai’s spin-friendly conditions.

10. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami has made his return to the ODI team after a long time due to his heel injury. He played two ODIs against England and picked up two wickets and leaked at 6.56 runs per over.

More than his numbers, India are happy that he went through the games without picking any injury. He will lead the bowling attack in Bumrah’s absence in the Champions Trophy.

11. Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh is expected to play ahead of Harshit Rana in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Like Bumrah, he is effective while bowling with both the new ball in the powerplay and the old ball in the death overs.

In eight ODIs, he’s taken 12 wickets with one five-for.
