Indian team management has strictly advised Indian cricketers from trekking and paragliding in Dharamsala.

Team India have been the best team in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 so far and the only team that are yet to face a defeat in the competition. The hosts are sitting at the top of the table with ten points and are pretty near a place in the semifinals. India have beaten Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand.

They recently beat New Zealand at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday by four wickets. It was a competitive game, and India jumped to top position with that win. Though India are yet to qualify for the semifinal, which looks very simple now, the Indian management doesn't want any risk. Earlier, Hardik Pandya got injured during the game against Bangladesh and missed the New Zealand clash.

No Trekking for Indian cricketers in Dharamsala in two-day break ahead of England Clash - Reports

Team India will play their next game against England on Sunday at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. They have a six days break between the two games, and the players are enjoying the off time that they have to freshen up and get ready for the second half of the group stage. However, the Indian management has given an advisory to all the players: none of them can go trekking in Dharamsala.

Notably, after a win against New Zealand in Dharamsala, a few Indian players have shown their desire to go on a trek, but the coaching staff has strictly denied it and made it very clear because of the important situation during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. As per some media reports, it has also been learned that the security of the players was another concern behind this.

A BCCI official said, "The team management has informed players that they can’t go trekking, they can go out but can’t do trekking. At the same time during the series no Indian player can even do paragliding as it can go against the player contract.” The Indian team will fly to Lucknow on Wednesday to prepare for their coming game against England.
