Indian cricketing fraternity celebrate 77th Independence day, See photos

Indian cricketers have extended their Independence day wishes on social media.

The country is in a celebratory mood as India celebrates its 77th Independence Day. Everyone is extending their wishes on this special occasion. Indian cricket superstars have also taken to social media to extend their wishes on Independence Day to fellow Indians. They all wear their Indian colours with pride and fight for glory for the Country.

2011 World Cup winner all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, Leg-spinner Anil Kumble, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Suryakumar Yadav, and many others have posted emotional messages to show their love for India.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also shared an Independence Day wish on Twitter. Shah tweeted, “Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day. Today we celebrate the freedom, diversity, and progress of our nation. Let’s continue to build a bright and prosperous future for our country and keep the tricolour flying high.”

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli also wished a very happy Independence Day to everyone. Indian Captain Rohit Sharma said in his emotional tweet, “The tricolour means more than words can ever convey. Happy Independence Day.”

Former Indian opening batter Gautam Gambhir posted a video on social media hoisting the Indian tricolour on his balcony along with his family. Gambhir tweeted, “Ishq ka to pata nhi, par jo tumse hai, wo kisi aur se nahi.”

2011 World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh also posted a video on his Twitter account wearing his most loved Indian blue cap. Yuvi also recited the famous Allama Iqbal lines from the Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara poem as well. In the same video, he also posted all the glorious memories he had with the Indian cricket team.

Indian cricketer Suryakumar also had a special message for his fellow Indians. SKY tweeted, “A nation like no other, an honour comparable to none. I wish everyone a very happy Independence Day. May our country continue to rise and shine, and may we do our best to continue to contribute to its glory.”

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also wished everyone a happy Independence Day. He posted, “I Love my India. Wishing all my fellow Indians across the World a very happy independence day.”
