Indian cricketers wished the entire nation on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.

On Friday (15th August), India is celebrating Independence Day, and several Indian cricketers have also been part of the celebrations. Today marks the 79th year of Indian independence, and celebrations are in full flow. 

Almost every Indian cricketer has graced the occasion and is celebrating with their families as the off-season is underway. Players took to their social media accounts and wished the entire nation on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. 

The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya shared the patriotic stories on their social media handles. The reactions went viral on the internet with fans lauding their love for the nation.

Coming to the Indian Cricket Team, they will be next seen in action when Asia Cup 2025 begins. The tournament will be played from 9th to 28th September in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a total of eight teams taking part. 

The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will begin their campaign in Asia Cup 2025 on 10th September against the UAE in Dubai. The squad is expected to be announced on 19th August with chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar addressing the press conference. 

Following Asia Cup, India will be locking horns with the West Indies in a two-match test series. The packed action in India will begin soon as the team will prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 and will also be focusing on getting to the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27.
