List of Indian cricketers to play at least 50 matches in all 3 formats

Six Indian cricketers have played at least 50 matches in all three formats of the game.
Wearing the Indian cricket team’s jersey is the biggest dream for a kid who aspires to be a cricketer in India. They always think about representing India across formats, put on magnificent performances for their side and being remembered as one of the finest in the game. Indian cricket team have produced several big names who have contributed immensely to the game.
There are only a handful of names in Indian cricket who went on to represent India in 50 or more than 50 international matches across all formats of the game (Tests, ODIs and T20Is). This requires some consistency and discipline throughout the career of any player. T20Is added some more flavor to the game and due to this teams demanded the best of fitness from their players. Let’s have a look at the list of Indian cricketers who have played at least 50 matches in all three formats of the game.
1. MS Dhoni – 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is :

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni had an outstanding cricketing career for India and went on to get many glorious titles. MS Dhoni made his international debut at the age of 23 in 2004 against Bangladesh. Dhoni went on to play 90 tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20I matches in his 15-year-long career. Dhoni also led Indian side in more than 50 matches across all formats of the game. Dhoni captained India in 60 tests, 200 ODIs and 73 T20I matches.
2. Virat Kohli – 113 Tests, 292 ODIs, and 117 T20Is :

Star Indian batter Virat Kohli has also played more than 50 International matches across all formats of the game. Virat made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2008 and since then he has remained a constant figure in Indian camp. Virat Kohli has played 113 tests, 292 ODIs and 117 T20I games in his career so far. Virat Kohli is the second Indian player to lead his side in more than 50 matches. Virat led India in 68 tests, 95 ODIs and 50 T20I matches.
3. Ravindra Jadeja – 68 Test, 197 ODI, 66 T20I :

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also has had a terrific cricketing career at international level. Ravindra Jadeja is also on the list of Indian cricketers to play more than 50 matches across all formats of the game. Ravindra Jadeja began his journey at international level against Sri Lanka in 2008 and so far he has played 68 tests, 197 ODIs and 66 T20I matches for India. Jadeja has taken more than 500 international wickets for team India across all formats of the game.
4. Ravi Ashwin – 95 Test, 116 ODIs and 65 T20Is :

Ravichandran Ashwin is India’s biggest match-winner in test cricket in the last decade or so. Ashwin has had a magnificent international career so far for India and played a major part in several wins. He is one of the biggest reasons for India’s dominance at home in tests. Ravi Ashwin made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2010 and has played 96 tests, 116 ODIs and 65 T20I games for Indian side so far. Ashwin is India’s second-leading wicket-taker in Test cricket.
5. Rohit Sharma – 54 Test, 262 ODIs, 151 T20Is :

Current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s test career looked stagnant two years back and it looked like an end for him. Rohit was appointed captain of the side replacing Virat Kohli in 2021 and this brought him among the Indian players with more than 50 international matches across all formats of the game. So far, Rohit Sharma has played 54 tests, 262 ODIs and 151 T20I matches for India. He began his international career against Ireland in 2007 in an ODI game.
6. KL Rahul – 50 Test, 75 ODIs, and 72 T20Is :

Indian middle-order batter KL Rahul played his 50th test match against England at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad in 2024. KL Rahul is India’s crisis manager in the current era and looks ready for every role that he is asked for in the team. Along with 50 test matches, KL Rahul has played 75 ODIs and 72 T20I games for India at international level so far. KL Rahul made his international debut against Zimbabwe in 2016.
