10 World Cup winning Indian cricketers who will be seen in action in US Masters T10 League 2023

The inaugural US Masters T10 league will feature some legendary Indian cricketers like Yuvraj, Gambhir.

The inaugural edition of the US Masters T10 League is all set to begin, which will see some of the favorite cricketing stars across the globe compete in a tournament. This league will feature some legendary Indian cricketers who have retired from the game.

This tournament will start on August 18 with a total of six teams competing against one another in 26 games before the final which will be played on August 27. This tournament will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Florida. Notably, there are some Indian stars playing in it who were part of India’s World Cup-winning squads in 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. Here, we will talk about ten World Cup-winning Indian stars who are playing in this tournament.

Here are ten Indian world cup-winning players who will be playing in the inaugural US Masters T10 League:

10. Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa was an important part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup. He smashed a half-century against Pakistan in the group stage match, which ended in a tie. Uthappa scored 113 runs for India in the T20 World Cup 2007. After retirement, he has played in some overseas leagues. He will be captaining the Atlanta Riders in the coming US Masters T10 League.

Who can forget the spell that S. Sreesanth bowled against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2007, which turned the game in India’s favor? He took six wickets in that competition and took the catch of Misbah-ul-Haq to win the tournament. Sreesanth will be playing for the Atlanta Riders along with Uthappa.

Munaf Patel was an important member of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad. He played eight games and took 11 wickets, with a best of 4/48. He retired in 2011 and played in some leagues after retirement. He will be seen in action with the New York Warriors, playing under Shahid Afridi.

RP Singh was India’s most successful bowler and joint-second-highest wicket-taker in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. He took 12 wickets in six innings, with a best of 4/13. Singh retired from international cricket in 2018. He will be playing for the New Jersey Tritons in the coming US Masters T10 League.

6. Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan only played one game in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup journey, which was the final against Pakistan. And he started with a six off Mohammad Asif and scored 15 runs at the top. After that innings, he played for India in white-ball formats. Yusuf will be part of the New Jersey Tritons. He was also part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team.

5. Irfan Pathan

Irfan Pathan was the Man of the Match in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup against Pakistan for picking 3/16. He was an important member of the team, picking up 10 wickets in the tournament. After his retirement, Irfan has featured in some leagues along with his brother. In the US Masters T10 League, he will play for the California Knights.

Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup-winning teams. He played a crucial role in both tournaments. Harbhajan took seven wickets in the 2007 T20 World Cup, while he took nine in the 2011 ODI World Cup. In the US Masters T10 League, he will be captaining Morrisville Unity.

3. Suresh Raina:

Suresh Raina played a couple of important knocks in the final stage of the 2011 ODI World Cup. He scored 74 runs in three innings at an average of 74 and a strike rate of 98.66. His 34-run unbeaten knock against Australia in the quarterfinal helped India win. He will be leading the California Knights in the US Masters T10 League.

India would not have won both 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup finals if Gautam Gambhir had not played those two important knocks. He scored 75 runs against Pakistan in 2007 and made 97 against Sri Lanka in a crucial chase in the 2011 World Cup final. Gambhir played an important role in India’s winning both world cups. Now, he will be seen in action, leading New Jersey Legends in the US Masters T10 League.

Yuvraj Singh’s contributions to India winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cups are among the best. In 2007 T20 WC, he scored 148 runs, with a couple of important knocks against Australia and England. Then in 2011, He was the Man of the Tournament in the ODI World Cup for scoring 362 runs and taking 15 wickets. He will be playing for the New Jersey Legends in the coming US Masters T10 League.
